National Survey Reveals Marketing Habits of Dental Practices
ProSites, a leading provider of dental website design and online marketing solutions, today announced findings from its first benchmark survey on the trends, objectives, and strategies of dental practice marketing. This survey gathered unique insight from 300 dental professionals in North America.
Overall, the study showed that website design and search engine optimization continue to be the top marketing methods for dental practices.
Key findings reveal that behind word-of-mouth marketing (96 percent), dental practices currently rely on a wide range of online marketing tools to reach new patients. These include practice websites (93 percent), social media (88 percent), and search engine optimization (77 percent).
The study additionally showed that the majority of dental practice’s marketing efforts and budgets are invested in online marketing, and of those practices engaged with online marketing, approximately half use an outside provider for those services.
Furthermore, 51 percent of respondents estimated that their marketing budgets will increase over the next three years, suggesting that online marketing spend will increase accordingly.
“There’s a strong correlation between the extent to which dental practices actively market their services and overall practice growth and profitability,” stated Ken Robinson, Chief Marketing officer at ProSites. “We are excited to learn that dentists are continuing to place a greater emphasis on their online marketing efforts and are looking to grow these strategies in the future.”
